Tra il dire e il fare c'è un mezzo di mare
Between saying and doing is a half a sea.

In Italian class yesterday, there wasn't time for me to talk for ten minutes. I'd prepared two possible topics: 1. Drill at The Park Avenue Armory and 2. my seeing Gloria Steinem at the post office. So, I didn't get the chance to conquer my fear of speaking in public (not that four students and a teacher are the public), but I'll try to do so next class.
For now, the entry for July 17 (yesterday) epitomizes "Tra il dire e il fare c'è un mezzo di mare."
