I'm not comfy about being politically outspoken, but I can't ignore one August 8th photo showing Donald Trump and Melanie Trump in El Paso, allegedly supporting the grieving city. Trump stands smirking and giving a thumbs up sign, while a beaming Melania holds the infant boy whose parents died shielding him. The thumbs up and Melania holding a babe-in-arms as if her were a thing such as bouquet of flowers belie the gravity of the situation. The baby-as-prop in this Photo Op makes it clear that, to the President, most people are still chattel. More than ever, it's important to vote for people who understand the idea of being a public servant in a government for the people and by the people, not in a country that rewards and encourages dangerous tribal anger.
