Brava

Holland Cotter's wrap up—although I'm sure it's not anyone's last word.

(I didn't take the chair.

I love the line "But the atrium performance works because she is simply, persistently, uncomfortably there."

Exactly!

There seems to be a very long queue today (the last day) from what I can see from the live feed. I'm tempted to go (but not sit, either).

The endless web-meme of M.A...

Frieze Magazine has a great top 10 thoughts about the show. I'm all about #2.

Maybe the last word is Marina's. A nice piece about what MA had to say about the show.

Monumental personality indeed. I'm still awed by her self-control and overall control. I'm not surprised that the reperformers worked "for" her.

JessePatrickMartin's point (below) is well taken:
Abramovic’s ire against reappropriation, recontextualization, reuse, etc., are valid but rather conservative for such an avant garde artist. It also contradicts how dependant the show was on distributing such easily co-optable memes in venues that make such co-opting easy(i.e., Flickr).
