Funeral service

Judson Memorial Church on Washington Square South had this funeral announcement posted for the playwright Harry Koutoukas who died on March 6 at the age of 72.

"I don't write poetry, I just take notes."

He took some interesting notes—especially to get the titles of some of his plays, among them: "Medea in the Laundromat," "Turtles Don't Dream," and "Awful People are Coming Over So We Must Pretend to Be Hard At Work and Hope They Will Go Away." Nice.
