Letterpressing

A trip to the Chelsea Market yielded a stunning display of some letterpress work by Yeehaw Industries. Seems there's no style they can't handle.

Great, strong, savvy stuff with deep bios (Julie Belcher calls herself a hillbilly, which puts some of us urban folks to shame; Kevin Bradley is a painter, just like some of the most talented designers).

Their wood-type-like work is in the tradition of Hatch Show Print, another Tennessee treasure.

There is a delicious California red table wine called "The Show" in homage to Hatch Show Print. The labels are great, too!

What a wonderful story behind "The Show," not to mention a great homage on the wine blog. I noticed that at least two people asked where they could buy "The Show," but I see no answer. Where did you buy your bottle(s)? I can't wait to get a few bottles. I know nothing about wine, but I do love a great label. Thanks for the tip!

It's very tasty. I found it at our local ShopRite liquors, but maybe that cheapie place up on Broadway and Astor might have it? It's around, I know. I found it online at http://www.thewinelibery.com

...it's a very inexpensive yet tasty table wine.
